Before you submit
We welcome funny classroom stories, honest perspectives, questions,
and practical ideas that other educators can learn from.
Format and length
-
Upload a PDF using a readable 12-point font. Keep your submission
under 1,500 words—approximately a 10-minute read.
-
Share your role in education so listeners have context.
-
Submit your own original writing. Only include material you have
permission to share.
Protect identities and sensitive information
-
Use aliases for every person, school, district, and location
mentioned. You may use your own name if you choose to be credited.
-
Remove details that could reveal someone’s identity, even without
their name. This includes exact dates, job titles, grade levels,
and unusual circumstances when the combination could identify someone.
-
Do not include student records, screenshots, private messages,
contact information, or confidential information about students,
families, coworkers, or your workplace.
-
Keep stories and criticism focused on experiences, practices, and
ideas. We won’t feature personal attacks, discriminatory content,
or accusations against identifiable people or organizations.
